Homecoming Dress Shopping...Fun?
Homecoming dress shopping, some fun stuff. Well, it is time consuming, annoying, but, sometimes fun. Yesterday, my grandmother took me to Jcpenny and I picked out a silver dress. But, it washed me out so we decided to go back today to go get a new one. I was originally going to get this beautiful royal blue one but, I instead got this beautiful strapless dress with acourse a shrug so my grandfather won't throw a fit and then to stay modest. Now, if you are wondering how much dress I tried on, I tried on 11 dresses total from yesterdays and today's count. Very tiring.

Great Expectations
If you ever had read Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, you would know that Pip had some great expectations for himself, like for example being a wealthy man and wouldn't have to work as a blacksmith like his uncle.
Now, I have great expectations for myself and so does my teachers and my grandparents. Out of my teachers I think my AP World History teacher has a great expectation for all of us to pass the AP exam with a 3, 4, or 5. Then there is my English Honors 10 teacher who has a great expectation that we all can pass the English 10 HSA. Now finally, I really think my Allied Health Instructor has great expectations for me to do well in the class by getting good grades on tests, classwork, homework, and journals. I have been doing excellent on my journals for the class which I am so happy about that. Now, since she saw I did very well on my journals, then she will expect me to do super in the class and pass my certification test at the end of the year and the certification tests shows whether I can come back next year to continue with taking Allied Health, if I pass then next year I would be doing my clinical study.
Now I am proving my grandparents wrong and that is doing well in AP World History because they believe I am not ready to take a college course but, as to right now I am doing very well which is making me happy. I kind of have a goal for myself this quarter and that is get straight A's.
So, if I get good grades all this year, then this July, I can go to EFY and then in August, get my learners permit and I think I will be doing both because I usually do well in school.
Now, you maybe wondering on why on earth am I taking a health class. Well I plan on going into a health profession. I want to be a RN and work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the second level. And why is that I want to work in the NICU? Well, I love babies and they can't tell us what is wrong and they need help, lastly, they are so precious, love able, and cute. Who, doesn't love babies? I also wouldn't mind working in the maternity ward or in cardiovascular ward.
Why do I choose to be a nurse instead of a doctor. Nurses do so more than a doctor. Doctor usually on do surgeries etc. While a nurse visits the patients and take care of them.
So, I really should go now. Off to studying world and to do some homework. Love, Kayla :)

Just call me Eva:)
Okay so I am trying to get at least one blog in a day. Plus, right now I am in relaxing mode since I will be doing homework around 3:30 pm. So school was great and I am happy to say I actually like Spanish this year! My Spanish three teacher is nice and you can actually understand what she is saying. In the past four years ( 7th grade- Spanish IA, 8th grade- Spanish IB, 9th grade- Spanish II, 10th grade- Spanish III) I would be super duper lost and then I didn't like my teachers. Now, whenever I don't like a teacher, it would mean I don't like that subject. So as to right now, I am liking the subject. Oh, and my Spanish name this year is Eva.
Now, I had English 10 Honors to day and I actually had to be patient since the stupid computers in the SPECIES lab run as slow as a molasses. I have a feeling the computers are from the prehistoric era. But, we are doing a World Culture project which is you need two family photos, a family store handed down from each generation, and five facts on a country that our ancestors came from. Originally I chose Germany but, when I interviewed my grandfather, he started talking about Switzerland so it would be weird talking about Germany and then Switzerland. So I changed my country to Switzerland. By the way, I do have family ancestors that are from Germany, lets just say I have so many ethnics ( I think that's the word) made up of me. One fact about Switzerland is that they find it inappropriate to chew gum and attend to personal hygiene in public... so sorry to the gum chewers out there and to all of us girls that like to primp :( Also, they avoid speaking without their hands, and if you really know me you can see I wouldn't make it there because I love speaking with my hands. But, overall it is a beautiful country.
Oh, and I was in a land of hyperness today. I don't know why but, I was and I didn't eat anything sugary for breakfast either :/
So now, I am off to homework land where I need to read and take notes for Allied Health, finish writing procedures for Chemistry Honors, write a thesis statement for AP World History, Geometry, and I may do Spanish III homework but, that isn't due until Friday. Then I hopefully will take a nap and go to Young Women's tonight where we have new leaders, I will miss the old leaders but, I think it will be fun to have some change:)

Three weeks of School and Seminary...
So on August 30, 2010 marked the 2010-2011 school year. Which makes me a Sophomore. So far I am getting awesome grades:)
Now I have to make sure I get to bed at 9:30 pm on every school night since I have to wake up at 4:50 am for seminary which is Monday- Friday, unless there is a school delay, cancellation of school, or if we are scheduled off for school.
In seminary this year we are reading Doctrine and Convents and Joseph Smith History.
Now, besides seminary, there is school.
Hmmm... where to start about school? Okay, so I am taking such a heavy load this year. On an A day I have Geometry- 1st period, AP World History, 2nd period, A lunch and then head over to Sollers for Allied Health which is two periods long and then at the end of the day, I have Chemistry Honors. Now on a B day I have Spanish III- period 1, English 10 Honors- period 2, A lunch and then go over to Sollers and follow that schedule like the day before.
I have to say Geometry is pretty confusing, I like math and all but, it is shapes! I have trouble with those concepts. AP World History is a lot of studying and writing. Spanish III is an okay class and English 10 Honors isn't that bad. Allied Health is an amazing class but, you have to remember so much since you are dealing with a humans life so once again lots of studying and memorization. Chemistry Honors is my favorite class since my teacher is awesome and we get to do lots of experiments :) Which I absolutely love :))
I have made some amazing friends too in my classes which is great. I may have some drama right now but, I have to make it work for me. Since I need to put school and myself first.
So far we already have had three days off in the three weeks of school.
I sometimes long for a longer summer but I do need school in my life, to keep me occupied.
But, I think this would be a great and memorable school year... well actually I hope it is.

The Ending of Summer
Tomorrow, the last day of summer break. Yeah, I know I have the weekends still but, still tomorrow is the last weekday before I go back to school and seminary.
I am all ready for school with a very heavy book bag. But, my emotions of school is blah, I don't feel like going back yet and the other side is bring it on! Wahoo!
I honestly think school will be stressful this year with my heavy load of classes and I don't want a year of drama.
Well, to look on the bright side, I get to start my magnet program this year :)
Summer has been awesome. I went to Girls Camp this year and it was enjoyable, having a pool party at my house which I had a great time, a pool party at church for mutual which was sort of chaotic, going to the carnival and got ditched for a boy, which was horrible and I didn't like it one bit; a Brazilian Barbecue for mutual which I have to say the food was good, and having family come down to visit which is always fun.
Oh and I forgot the Regional dance which was sort of boring but, fun. I am now under oath to speak to a certain boy that I met at the January dance and I didn't even talk to him at the dance :(
Now, I have to look to Monday. Monday will be mixed emotions. I have to wake up early this year again for seminary then off to my home school which are 90 mins and I know I will be getting homework in Geometry and AP World History, no doubt on AP World History since we have to bring our textbooks which means classwork and homework. After AP World History I have lunch then I go off to my magnet school for Allied Health which is 90 mins and I had to get white solid shoes and white scrub pants for this class and I will be getting a smock and then after that I go to Chemistry Honors which is a 45 min class and will be amazing since the teacher is very awesome:)
Tuesday, I got Spanish III and English Honors 10 which are both 90 mins and I will be getting homework in that class to I bet then from lunch it all repeats for the end of the day.
So my guess on Monday I will be getting homework in Geometry, AP World History, and Allied Health and some papers to sign for Chemistry Honors.
Well, I need to enjoy the lasts days of my summer vacation and by that I have some family coming down this Saturday and I will be kicking back reading Mockingjay- Hunger Games #3 and I am almost done the book. Currently I on chapter 18 and on page 246 and I think there is 390 something pages.
Well, I will hopefully update this Monday.

Summer
Summer has been crazy. First, I went to Girls camp and I had a great time it was better than last years I have to say and we finally went kayaking and lets just say I went Kayaking backwards and made friends with every rock in the river.
Then, I have been working on my WHAP project and it is very very very boring.
But, this summer I did have some fun times and more to come.
Right now I am going back to writing my stories and working on the Breaking Point.

School is Officialy over or is it?
School got out on Friday, June 18. So I finished up my freshmen year on Wednesday so Thursday I skipped and same with Friday but, Friday I had to get a blood test to figure out why am I so tired.
Well either way I am stoked that summer vacation has began. This means, getting sunburn ( I have to watch out since I am super pale lol), swimming, and projects? Wait, back up! Did I just say projects? Yep, indeed I did. I have to read six chapters with doing a thing called A.S.P.I.R.E. and take 10 notes for each topic which means 60 notes a chapter for my upcoming World History AP (WHAP) class in my Sophomore yr. Yikes! Additionally I have to read Julius Caesar and write a two page essay that would be scored on a 6 point SAT rubric for my upcoming English Honors 10 class. Well, at least I have one chapter complete for my World History class.
I am going to say after I get home from camp I will be hitting the books and postponing all the fun for several hours a day :(

An unexpected visitor!
Uh oh! There isn't a visitor that you would have thought we be living in my backyard in my grandmothers enormous hostas that are under the pool deck.
Lets just say it is cute, you want to cuddle, brown, has whiskers, and eats carrots, grass, and lettuce and probably other things.
Well if you haven't figured it out- we have a small, yes I mean small, eastern cotton rabbit in my backyard. I have recently seen it in the yard behind us but never in my backyard.
I was walking around the backyard like I usually do listening to my mp3 player, when I see the cute rabbit that I named two days ago: Hailey. I hope it isn't a boy because that would be very weird for a male to have that name and I will feel sorry for it.
Well each time Hailey sees me, it runs into the hostas and I have no clue where at in the hosta it is in at. So as currently I have lettuce inside the hosta for it to eat.
Now, I just hope nothing happens to it and I hope that Lexi (my dog) doesn't see it. Well if Lexi does see it the rabbit would be running and it would outrun my dog.
Well if I do see it soon, I will try to take a picture and upload it up here for everyone to see.
Now off to suitcase land to start packing for Girls camp.
Choa, and good night to all!

A fear of Camping?
Well, it is drawing nearer to the time of the year again. Girls camp is on its way and I am a little bit thrilled but, not as I was last year.
This year I am having a big fear of having daddy long leg spiders being in the shower or in the bathroom stalls. And then seeing dead and alive frogs crossing my paths. Then, there is my biggest fear, getting the awful poison ivy again *shudders*. I probably sound negative but, that is my cons.
Well, at least I do have some positive things about camp. I get to see my wonderful friends every day and night. I hopefully get to go kayaking, the stupid downpour, thunderstorm ruined our chances to go kayaking which I love :) I get experience the beauty of nature even if I am not a out woodsy kind of gal. I get to do a skit on the first night there which is going to be amazing! The skit is based around traffic court since the theme of girls camp is "traveling on the road of virtues path," so we have famous cars such as Herbie, The Flinstone Car, General Lee, KITT, The Dolorian, etc. And of course a judge and a policewoman and we have to of those and I am playing one of the policewomen since I love to talk. Now, back to the positive things, I get to know new people which is always fun and have new knowledge on things I hardly knew about or things I never knew by doing Third year requirements.
Well, I have to face those nasty, slimy frogs with the bugs and spiders. And HOPEFULLY we won't have a lot of rain and that kayaking doesn't get canceled because I really am looking forward to it!
Anyways I think I will survive Girls camp this year and I am very positive that I won't get poison Ivy this year- I will watch out closely and also that I won't have an attack from insects and frogs!
